This week's update is packed with improvements to make outreach more flexible and shift management smoother. We've added multi-shift care plan support, new template variables, and a bunch of quality of life updates based on your feedback.
Multi-Shift Care Plan Support
Care plan summaries can now be sent when using multi-shift outreach via SMS. Here's how it works: caregivers respond to the initial message saying which shifts they'd like to learn more about, and Phoebe sends back the care plan summaries for those specific clients. Once the caregiver confirms their interest, their availability status gets updated in the Outreach Details.
Client Skip List for Clock Reminders and Shift Confirmations
You can now add specific clients to a skip list for clock reminders and shift confirmations. This prevents caregivers assigned to shifts with those clients from receiving shift confirmations or clock in/out reminders for that client only. Great for clients who have unique arrangements or preferences.
"Needs Review" for Time Modifications and Ambiguous Replies to Outreach
Sometimes a caregiver can pick up an open shift but might be 15 minutes late arriving. We get it, home care staffing needs flexibility. These situations are now surfaced using the "needs review" availability status, and you'll get email notifications so you can make the call that's best for your client.
Small Improvements and Bug Fixes
More Flexible Outreach Templates
We've added several new template variables to give you more control over how Phoebe communicates:
- Relative Dates & Day of Week: The {shift_date} variable now references shifts as "today" or "tomorrow" and includes the day of the week, making messages feel more natural and easier for caregivers to parse.
- Caregiver Distance: The new {caregiver_distance} variable displays the distance from the caregiver's address to the client (like "3.2 miles from you"). If a distance can't be calculated, the variable won't add anything to avoid confusion.
Both of these are available in your SMS and Voice templates on the Settings page.
Assign & Fill Templates Now Editable
You can now customize the Assign & Fill message templates directly in Settings, giving you full control over what gets sent to assigned caregivers and other interested caregivers during the fill process.
Client EHR Links and Phone Number Now Visible in Shift and Outreach Views
Direct links to the client's profile in your EHR and client phone numbers have been added to the Shift and Outreach Detail views. One less click to get the info you need.
Persistent Date Selection & "Today" Shortcut on Shifts Page
When you navigate away from the Shifts page, you'll now pick up right where you left off. Plus, you can click the "today" shortcut to jump back to today's shift list instantly.
Caregiver City in Eligible Caregiver Selection
The caregiver's city is now visible in the eligible caregiver selection list, and you can filter specific cities in or out when building your outreach.
Message Sender Now Displayed
Curious who sent a message to a caregiver? We now show whether Phoebe or a team member sent the message, giving you better clarity on who's been communicating.
